George Mason House Vacation Rentals
Featured as a Medieval style bed-chambers, this will bring out the imagination of anyone who loves European architecture. The bedroom has a Eastlake wooden queen bed with velvet duvet and leather pillows and two comfortable sitting chairs by the working fireplace. It also features a Smart TV with such features as streaming Netflix and keyboard for internet browsing. The kitchenette has a two burner cook-top, microwave, mini-refrigerator, china and silverware. There is a comfortable eating area with contoured tractor stools near the television area for dinner and a movie for two. The bathroom features a whirlpool tub and shower with such features as steam shower, body sprays and foot sprays. Originally, this room has an interesting history of being the laundry room of the mansion. Imagine the gossiping of the servants as they aired out the linens and scrubbed the table cloth after the Christmas Balls. This suite has been updated with modern amenities but still has the original charm and architecture of the servants working room.
The Vault is a unique suite as it was once the inner workings of the mansion. The history of the room is cleverly highlighted with a Steampunk design theme of Victorian oddities accenting with metal, glass, stone and wood features. The bathroom features a Victorian shower fashioned from an old coal bin and heated floor. The spare bedroom has a custom crate platform queen bed with faux fur duvet and vintage fireplace. The "Master's" bedroom has a queen canopy poster bed decorated with chenille duvet, black leather pillows, leather bed curtains that originally belonged to Bing Crosby as well as JFK & Marilyn Monroe. The Master's Room also has a Smart TV, gas log fireplace, individual heat and air conditioning control, as well as entertaining features for curious couples like shackles, medical oddities, chains and other such toys.
ADULTS BETWEEN 18-35 YEARS ONLY
Fashioned in a Fairytale Gothic style, this studio is a comfortable place to rest your head for a week in Newport. It is bright and cheery with Medieval elements drawn from various classic stories. The queen Wrought-iron bed boosts a faux fur duvet and designer pillows which provides a romantic setting right next to the fireplace. The kitchenette has a two burner cook-top, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, china and silverware. The bathroom has a two person shower and heated floor. The room also has a desk, Smart TV with web browser and keyboard. The original posts and bricks gives this a Victorian contemporary feel but has a more interesting history as the root cellar where the servants stored and prepared a lot of food during big parties.
